Ever feel overwhelmed by your devices and constant connectivity? π±π
I've been diving into Cal Newport's podcast lately, and it's been a game-changer. π Cal Newport, the author of Deep Work and Slow Productivity, might surprise youβhe's a computer science professor who promotes a balanced, mindful approach to technology. Yes, the guy known for his tech-minimalist lifestyle actually has a smartphone! π€― But what sets him apart is that he deeply understands tech and still advocates for intentional, slow productivity.
His unique blend of expertise and perspective has been grounding for me. Listening to him talk about managing your time, focusing on meaningful work, and not being ruled by your phone is a reminder we all need. π
Next time you find yourself endlessly scrolling, remember that productivity is more than just being busy. Itβs about focusing on what truly matters. π§ββοΈ

The podcast that I've been listening to a lot about is Cal Newport's podcast. He wrote the book called deep work. He just wrote a book called slow for activity. Yeah, I honestly thought from the outside looking in, like, here's this guy talking about not being, you know, not being technology centric and, you know, thinking about doing stuff slowly and having, obviously, he's the guy that doesn't even have a smartphone, right? He still use the flip phone, correct? But here's the crazy part, though, Keith, yeah, he has a smartphone, but, but what people don't realize that he's a computer science professor, right? That is the coolest part about all of this, right? Take James, right? So if someone has that level of background, is he knows the law so well, he's a great operator and investor, and he says, don't invest in companies, right? Listen to that perspective, right? And so the juxtaposition of I'm a computer scientist, but then telling you to manage your devices this way is a really interesting perspective, and I honestly will. I have been binging on Cal Newport's podcast, and it's the one thing that it's kind of centered me a lot these days, which I really appreciate.
