Social media is a numbers game, and the secret to winning isn’t always about posting the smartest, most polished content. Sometimes, it’s the goofy, attention-grabbing posts that prime your audience to engage with what truly matters.
Here’s the deal: platforms like Instagram reward accounts with active engagement.
If your audience isn’t warmed up, that beautiful new listing video might only get a handful of views.
Start with something simple—ask silly questions, share funny moments, or post “Dumb and Dumber” content that encourages comments.
For every comment you get, multiply it by 100 to measure the algorithmic reach! Once the tide rises, you’re ready to share the content that counts.
It’s not about vanity; it’s about strategy. Warming up your account with light-hearted posts is the key to building engagement momentum for your serious content later.
Transcript:
Tide riser post is dumb. The goal is to do What? Is to just get engagement. Dumb stuff gets more engagement than smart stuff. Cause when someone is looking in social media, they are not paying attention and the easiest dumb things they will pay more attention to. The entire job of a tide riser is to warm up your account. You can’t post a just listed beautiful Matterport video then why I only see 3 views on that, because your account is not warm. You got to warm up, you got to warm up the tide. You got to rise the tide. And so, the dumber stuff you post the easier it is and the more people will comment. Take every comment close to 100 and like multiplied by 100, that’s how much interaction you are getting. I’ll give you an example, this guy say’s “Hey, what is one thing you are doing that to get your stress out? I stop talking. Doesn’t matter, I don’t care what he says. I don’t care if I get hate. I got 81 comments in 1hour on Facebook. It’s crazy. But it warms up my account. Our job is to do whatever it takes to warm up the account after that we post anything important.
