Here's one thing about investing that I wish I had learned sooner. I wished I had developed sooner. I created this four-part framework on how to make decisions on where I'm going to invest. Here is the four-part framework #1, Good people. Who are the people involved in this process? You want to make sure you're in business partnership with good people #2 good intentions Why is this person starting this company? Why is this person buying this piece of real estate. Why is this person creating this investment opportunity? I want to know what good people and good intentions are before I move forward at all. The third is good rationale. And all that to me is a model, a spreadsheet. If the Good People and good intentions are checked, now I have good rationale. I want to know that math works and only when I know the math works you have to get to the next one which is good contracts. When good people, good intentions, and good rationale work, I now get to write up a contract that I believe in. I call this the 4 goods. When you have the four goods in place, you're able to make better decisions that are right for you.
