When one agent represents both sides, true fairness is nearly impossible. What are your thoughts on this?
Transcript:
Tell you, what I'm going to wager, dual agency as a mandate is going to go away. Like meaning you're not going to be able to do dual agency. Seven states already have kind of you can't do dual agency in about seven or eight states, or maybe something like that. Dual agency as a broker means your firm reps both sides. Dual agency as an agent is what's uncool. I don't think there's a problem with the broker repping both sides. If you rep both sides of transaction, you are showing favoritism to one. There's absolutely no way, because you have full picture of both parties, unless both of them sign waivers, you cannot be impartial. It's super, super hard. So it's only a matter of time before dual agency goes away.
