Stop prospecting for referrals and start utilizing reciprocity to build an insane referral army. Say you're a real estate agent and there's a CPA in your marketplace that you know can give you great referrals instead of prospecting, that CPA, calling them, trying to meet with them, sending them chocolates, popping by with a cup of Starbucks or sending them a gift or inviting them to the ballgame. Do something completely different. The idea is not to prospect for referrals, but to generate reciprocity.
