Don't hate me. But cold calls don't work done in the traditional way done in the old school way. We put people in a boiler room and all they do is just call all day and they say, Hey, Steven, this is Toronto real how're you doing today? That doesn't help, what you want to do is you want to make sure that you have the right scripting that allow us to naturally approach the cold call, so that it doesn't feel like one one of the scripts that I've learned is a good bridge script, which allows you to soften the prospect when you call them and I've seen this work across 1000s of calls by just doing this one thing, you apologize for interrupting them as soon as you answer the call, but they say hey, I'm so sorry to bother you. When you actually start with the I'm so sorry to bother you. It helps drop their guard down and they're a little bit more open to listening to what you say because it shows that you care and shows that you actually interrupted them. Now a lot of people don't like this but data shows that when you apologize, they are a lot more apt to having the next set of conversation with you. So it's not that cold calling doesn't work. It just doesn't work the old traditional way with the old traditional scripts the world has changed and we have to change with it.
