This is inaccurate and clickbait. This is a CNN article that talks about the 6% Commission on buying or selling a home is gone after NAR agrees to a settlement. In essence, this is not accurate. Essentially, the truth is that it all talks about decoupling of compensation, and what that means is that in a transaction, a listing agent represents the seller of the house. A buyer’s agent represents the buyer buying the house and all that it says, this decoupling of composition says whoever is being represented should actually pay for representation, and this brings clarity and optics around price fixing. That's all this is and before we talk about the value of what a real estate agent brings. I will tell you this. I am probably one of the most qualified people, not qualified for other things, but the most qualified people to tell you the value of a real estate agent because I've done everything else that normal careers offer, normal and I've seen and done the real estate agent role. And here is the interesting part. After being in the technology world and starting a technology company, after being an investment banker on Wall Street, after running a private equity firm, after buying multifamily, all those things that I did were not as hard as actually selling real estate. So a good real estate agent is not just worth their weight in gold, they're worth their weight and so much love and gratitude.
